Checkout time at 10 AM is a bit of a scramble, cutting short the last moments of a peaceful stay after breakfast. Dining options can be pricey, especially when the steak comes with chunks of fat that you wouldn’t expect at that price. the Farm Cottage Ottilie Suite has minimal clothes hanging space, and the lighting outside could use some work, making nighttime walks a little trickier than they ought to be.

we had a lovely time at charlton hall! the location is super quiet and not far from bamburgh castle and alnwick gardens. our room was modern n stylish, really enjoyed the decor. the staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was cooked to order which was amazin! even tho the bed was a bit uncomfortable, it was manageable for our short stay.

It was just a commendable fit for a short stay in Alnwick with very good value for money. The air conditioning worked fine, helping keep things cool during a warm night. Keep in mind, the parking can get a bit tight, so arrive early.

I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful decor and spacious areas, which were not only stylish but also made it easy for us seniors to navigate the property comfortably. Every corner exuded charm and elegance during our stay.

More seating in common areas would be helpful.

Had a fab stay in a junior suite! Rooms are seriously gorgeous and different from the norm. Beverley was super friendly and gave us good tips. Breakfast was a hit with so many tasty options. Only wish the bar had longer hours. Really loved the place and can't wait to come back!

There were visible holes that weren’t properly finished, including cobwebs in some corners, and a concerning stain in front of the toilet. a lack of soundproofing was noticeable, as noises from the adjacent room crept in, which might deter those seeking a more tranquil atmosphere. Lastly, the kettle required manual intervention to boil, which felt inconvenient, and the breakfast options left something to be desired, particularly the undercooked scrambled eggs.

The breakfast spread was diverse and delicious, with freshly prepared options that made mornings feel special. The attentive staff enhanced our experience with their warm hospitality. It would be beneficial if there were more designated walking paths for pets around the property.

The bed in our room was so comfy, I couldn't help but ask about the mattress brand, which turned out to be Hypnos. We took full advantage of the sun terrace and enjoyed some peaceful moments in the garden area. Just a minor note, the checkout time felt a bit early but overall, we really enjoyed our stay! 😊
